Reflections on BlogOz (1)
I went along to the Australian Blogging Conference, graciously organised by Peter Black and attended by a uniformly interesting group of people.
Highlights were meeting Jean Burgess and Mel Gregg, discovering that there are a few people in Australia who are blogging their PhDs in some very interesting areas, including Pamela Rosengren and Sarah Xu (who I sadly did not have the longest conversations with), and some interesting hints dropped by David Novakovic on an interesting product to be launched by his employers soon. Oh, yeah — and Amanda needs a blog.
Going by the recent post-conference posts, the sessions I attended were the least popular. Apparently many bloggers (who attended) aren’t that interested in Research Blogging and Blogging in Education (K-12 and higher ed). My thoughts on those sessions to follow. I thought they were great.

OK Ben you said you’d post that funny story about owning Monday.
